Ahead of its big electric future, Honda is rolling out a freshly redesigned ‘H mark’ that will sit proudly on its next-generation cars from 2027 onwards, including EVs and major hybrids. Think of it as Honda changing into something a bit more… futuristic, without setting fire to its own history.
This new badge won’t just live on the bonnet, either. It’ll pop up everywhere Honda does car things: dealerships, marketing, motorsport, the lot. If it moves, sells, or races under the Honda name, expect to see the new H staring back at you.

According to Honda, the design represents two outstretched hands, symbolising its mission to embrace electrification, clever tech, and the ongoing upheaval of the car industry, while still, allegedly, making customers happy. It’s also meant to reflect Honda’s determination to remain relevant in a world where engines hum quietly and software updates matter more than horsepower figures.
The H mark itself dates back to 1963 and has been tweaked more times than a Civic Type R suspension setup. This latest version first appeared alongside Honda’s upcoming 0 Series EVs and will now be rolled out gradually as Honda edges into its electric era.
So yes, it’s just a badge. But in the car world, a new badge usually means big changes are coming. And possibly a concept car with wheels that will never, ever make production.
