Aston Martin has unveiled the new Valhalla Spider, an open-cockpit version of its mid-engined plug-in hybrid supercar, promising exhilarating performance alongside the freedom of roof-off driving. The model will make its global debut at the 2026 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas.

Sharing its advanced hybrid powertrain with the Valhalla Coupe, the Spider combines a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 828PS with three electric motors delivering an additional 251PS. Total system output stands at an impressive 1,079PS and 1,100Nm of torque, while maximum speed is electronically limited to 217mph (350km/h).

Remarkably, the Valhalla Spider can achieve its maximum speed with the roof removed, making it the fastest open-cockpit Aston Martin ever produced. Customers can choose between a standard removable fabric roof, which permits speeds of up to 124mph (200km/h), and an optional carbon-fibre hardtop.

Developed with support from Aston Martin Performance Technologies, the Spider benefits from Formula 1-inspired engineering, sophisticated active aerodynamics and recalibrated electronic stability controls. A bespoke wind deflector manages airflow around occupants, enhancing comfort without compromising performance.

Its lightweight carbon-fibre chassis, electric torque vectoring and integrated vehicle dynamics control further contribute to exceptional agility, stability and driver engagement on road and track. With the roof fitted, the car generates more than 600kg of downforce.

Aston Martin chief executive Adrian Hallmark described the Spider as an extension of the Coupe’s groundbreaking engineering, preserving its striking design and dynamic capabilities while offering greater driving enjoyment.
